    THE PARTNER EDUCATION SPECIALIST APPLIES EXPERTISE TO STRATEGIZE, DEVELOP, SCHEDULE, FACILITATE AND EVALUATE MORTGAGE LENDING AND SERVICING TRAINING PROGRAMS ON ALL ASPECTS OF THE MORTGAGE LIFECYCLE—APPLICATION THROUGH PAYOFF—TO HELP OUR CREDIT UNION PARTNERS BECOME EXCEPTIONAL MORTGAGE LENDERS. THE PARTNER EDUCATION SPECIALIST DEVELOPS, DELIVERS AND MAINTAINS TRAINING THROUGH A BLENDED LEARNING APPROACH, INCLUDING INSTRUCTOR-LED GROUP TRAINING, ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING, WEB-BASED TRAINING AND OTHER E-LEARNING SOURCES.

     

    1. Designs, develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive mortgage lending and servicing training program for partner credit union staff. Creates, develops and maintains training course collateral, procedures and supporting documentation, using instructional design techniques in conjunction with adult learning theory, which includes written lesson plans, designing application exercises, performance tests and other job aids. Maintains an active training calendar which facilitates learning via classroom instruction, web-based training and other e-learning sources, providing a variety of presentation methods to engage the audience and incorporates adult learning styles. Ensures that training programs and collateral assist in meeting company goals, regulatory or legislative developments, investor guidelines and industry trends as they may impact the business operations. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.   (40%)
    2. Provides a thrilling, five-star service experience to myCUmortgage experts and partner credit unions. Training collateral is clear, concise, accurate and easy to understand for those partners who are less experienced in mortgage lending. Uses effective presentation and verbal communication skills when delivering training. Communicates proactively and professionally with timely follow-ups to myCUmortgage experts and partner credit unions on training questions, information, etc. (20%)
    3. Conducts Training Needs Analysis. Interfaces with a diverse group of internal clients from various levels of the organization to gather information and determine if there is a need for training. Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to create and revise curriculum for lending and servicing training classes as new processes, investor guidelines, system functionality, compliance and regulation requirements change. (20%)
    4. Maintains operational, systems and compliance knowledge. Maintains a vast knowledge and comprehensive detail of mortgage lending and servicing operations, programs, products and procedures in order to teach effectively. (20%)

     

    Required Skills

    The Partner Education Specialist must possess the following knowledge and skills:

    1. A bachelor’s degree in organizational development, business management or related field or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent prior experience of 3-5 years in developing training collaterals and delivering training in lieu of degree required.
    2. Minimum 3-5 years previous experience with GSE Lending Programs (FNMA, Ginnie Mae and Freddie Mac) required.
    3. Minimum 3-5 years previous mortgage lending processing, underwriting, closing or servicing experience and policy/procedure development required.
    4. Minimum 3 years of MS Office suite product experience with strong personal computer skills, including standard curriculum development formats.
    5. Have excellent presentation, public and customer relations skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, determine their needs, maintain their confidence and good will, and establish and maintain effective relationships.
    6. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Graphic design skills a plus.
    7. Ability to learn, understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately.
    8. An effective working knowledge of presentation software and ability to use training technology tools.
