    Summary

    The Director of IT Enterprise Architecture will play a pivotal role in the establishment of an Enterprise Architecture Structure through alignment of the business vision, technology strategy, and IT portfolio execution. You will partner with Architects and domain experts across all divisions to bring together business leadership, business operations, project management, IT leadership, IT architecture and engineering to a common understanding of what it takes to deliver the business vision. You will be an integral part of the delivery of critical business outcomes, as well as the creation of technology strategies to leverage the IT portfolio to improve outcomes, create competitive advantages, reduce operational risk, and total cost of operations.

    What will you do?:

    • Partner with senior technology leadership to create a cross-functional, federated team that will drive Enterprise Architecture disciplines.

    • Collaborate with business and technical teams and leadership to align and map the business vision and strategy to value streams, business capabilities and business functions.

    • Collaborate with segment and domain architects, engineers, and leadership to create IT roadmaps, from current state architecture, to value streams and future domain capability models.

    • Apply portfolio rationalization to map and document the coverage between Value Streams, Business Capabilities, and Technology Capabilities and identify opportunities for innovation, as well as reduction in risk, complexity and total cost of operations.

    • Create, catalog, maintain and deliver the documentation and artifacts that describe the principles, standards, policies and methodologies of the enterprise architecture practice

    • Advance architecture principles and standards with solution and domain architects

    • Design a robust architecture design to meet business goals and ensure alignment with strategy

    • Manage, track, and refine functional and technical domain target state and roadmaps

    • Define technical standards and ensure solutions are aligned with the enterprise reference architecture standards, patterns and best practices.

    • Prototype the tools and technologies that helps to evaluate early design decisions, improve predictability and to reduce risk

    • Choose and adeptly use appropriate cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies and solutions to make sure that the architecture is robust, integrated and aligned with the strategy and long-term objectives of the organization.

    Desired Technical Knowledge/Skills:

    • BA/ BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; Master's Degree/ MBA preferred.

    • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, engineering management, and delivering large-scale transformation initiatives in retail required.

    • Expert architecture and design skills with proven track record of doing so at organizations of high complexity and speed.

    • Expert understanding of solution design and architecture standards.

    • Cross-disciplinary technical expertise with development, operations, security, quality assurance, architecture and more.

    • Experience in cloud technologies with a proven track record of migrating legacy on-premise applications into the cloud is required.

    • Articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and who is able to communicate to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.

    • Results and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills while engaging and collaborative.

    • Able to think operationally and strategically, have strong analytical skills, and process disparate data and information into a cohesive and responsive action plan.

    • Creates a culture of motivation, positive energy, and the ability to recognize, develop, and empower diverse talent.

    • Ability to effectively share technical information and communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.

    • Provide training, templates, and standards for application / solution architects to drive consistency across the organization.

    • Prior experience with large scale enterprise architecture, road mapping, and design
