Business Development Manager - Medical
SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is a business development leader passionate about successfully introducing our client's value proposition to all levels of target organizations to develop growth opportunities in the medical market segment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in mechanical or electrical engineering technology; and three to five years related experience and/or training; preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In-depth knowledge of EDM, Milling and Laser machines and related products and equipment. Prior sales or program management experience and experience selling at the corporate / executive level. Formal training in project management and/or project management certification (PMP) strongly preferred. Experience on validating processes in the medical industry required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of project management software and Great Plains or similar software program helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as processes and procedures, technical journals, legal documents, financial documents, and specific service reports and documents. Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills to effectively present ideas and solutions, both written and verbally, to customers, management, and employees at all levels of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, interest, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems and troubleshoot situations using strong conceptual thinking abilities. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in various forms with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS
Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel to customer sites as required. Foreign languages such as Spanish, German and French are advantageous. Organized, self-motivated and tenacious with the ability to work autonomously to cold call and prospect customers.
