    Job Summary
    The HR Generalist works with employees on the full scope of HR activities including employee relations, hiring, training and development, compensation and benefits and all payroll and HRIS administration.

    Eligibility: Open to all US Residents legally eligible to live and work in the US without sponsorship

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or equivalent combination of work and education experience (Certifications preferred, not required)
    • Approx. 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience processing payroll for multi-state/ multi-locations using ADP Workforce Now (required)
    • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures including labor, wage, and hour laws (EEOC, AA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Labor Management Systems (LMS), HRIS, time-keeping and payroll
    • Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
    • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
    • Ability to strategically prioritize workload, self-manage projects, and balance multiple concurrent tasks
    • Demonstrated strong understanding of employment law and HR concepts

    Description

    • Partners with managers to provide HR guidance in support of business objectives. Acts as a ‘go-to’ resource for HR services and support and proactively builds relationships with front line managers.
    • Partners with managers to resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations, recommending and acting upon a course of action.
    • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
    • Acts as a positive change agent, identifying and participating in process improvement activities to increase efficiency and assists other departments with the successful completion of continuous improvement projects.
    • Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring and onboarding of qualified job applicants for open positions. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required.
    • Performs all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation and entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
    • Assists with the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, team building activities, holiday parties and anniversary recognitions.
    • Coordinates the workers’ compensation program by evaluating and driving remediation of workers comp claims at Company locations by designing and implementing strategies to reduce the volume and severity of claims.
    • Serves as the subject matter expert with the management, use and maintenance of the payroll system (ADP WFN). Prepares and processes bi-weekly payroll for the company in an efficient and timely manner. Improves payroll processing by identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements.
    • Assists in compliance efforts to meet Federal, state, and local law requirements including ADA, EEO, Affirmative Action Planning, and FMLA.
