  • Responsibilities

    Wright Technical Services has partnered with a top ten system integrator in the country to help them find an electrical field technician to help support the installation of their automated systems on-site at customer facilities.

     

    Basic Function: Wiring of panels, J-boxes, and machines.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities: Organized by SQDCH – Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Human.

     

    Safety

    • Follow safety procedures/ training as outlined and identified by Fori Automation management, MIOSHA, and OSHA.
    • Follow good housekeeping practices throughout the plant.

    Quality

    • Complete as required in process QC check sheets.
    • Complete as required QC audits.
    • Assure good craftsmanship on jobs that are being built.
    • Follow good housekeeping practices.

    Delivery

    • Wiring of panels, J-boxes for sub-assemblies, final assemblies and any other Electrical task for the job.
    • Take direction from Leader and/or Supervisor
    • Provide feedback on job status to Mechanical Assembly Leader.
    • Know and understand due dates for jobs and schedule work accordingly.
    • Follow-up with supervisor on daily basis to report progress of job(s) being worked on.
    • Assist in disassembly, packing and loading of machines for shipment.
    • Fill-in where required for absences.
    • Order material and follow-up with receiving when required.
    • Assist in start-up/de-bug of equipment.
    • Recommend as appropriate work methods and/or materials that will improve existing designs.
    • Travel as needed to assist in installations, de-bug, tryout, or problem solving at customer locations.
    • Read and interpret build prints. Work with Electrical Engineers and build Leaders to correct any problems with design of the machine/controls.

    Cost

    • Recommend, initiate, and follow-up as needed on engineering changes and document according to ECO procedures.
    • Work on continuous improvement projects as needed.

    Human

    • Support special assignments as needed.
    • Provide training and assistance to new employees.

     

    Prerequisites:

    Education: High School Diploma required.

    Journeyman’s card or Journeyman status preferred

    Experience: 5+ years minimum experience in panel build, field wiring, de-bug.
