    Staff Accountant Job Description

    The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.

    Title: Staff Accountant

    Reports: Finance & Accounting Manager

    Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    Analyze and verify information by creating spreadsheet reports using high level excel functions Perform monthly bank reconciliations

    Support timely monthly and year‐end financial close by preparing and posting journal entries and performing balance sheet and income statement account analysis and reconciliations

    Assist in the preparation of financial statements by analyzing information from the general ledger

    Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions with account reconciliations, payment processing, data entry, customer follow ups, credit management, order releasing, and support of improvement to Working Capital goals and objectives

    Participate in and support accounting automation and process improvement initiatives Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information

    Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, continued education, participating in professional organizations, etc.

    Perform other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as needed

    Assist in special projects and ad‐hoc analyses as assigned

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Ability to work a hybrid schedule- 3 days in North Kingstown office, 2 days from home

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2+ years experience preferred

    Must possess exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, v‐lookups, etc.

    Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP a strong plus

    Must be an incredibly passionate, highly motivated, team contributor who can thrive in a fast‐paced dynamic environment

    Ability to take ownership of the job duties and follow through on all tasks to completion

    Ability to multi‐task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

    Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to tailor content to a specific audience Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills

    Positive team player who can collaborate with all levels within the organization as well as customers and vendors
