Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is ensuring all go karts and related equipment and facilities are in working order by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties

• Performs maintenance to go karts on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
• Performs facilities maintenance to including but not limited to go karts, arcade areas, theaters, laser tag, mini golf and other attractions. Includes travel to multiple locations

Job Duties

• Performs maintenance while using heavy equipment (occasionally working in tight fitting spaces).
• Works quickly and effectively.
• Supplies own tools to perform maintenance.
• Disassembles and reassembles go karts.
• Repair and maintain facilities.
• Lifts and transports large machines.
• Uses hand tools to fix machines.
• Stays abreast of new technology.
• Keeps records of all repairs.
• Conducts tests on machines.
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Respectfully takes direction from manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience

­­­­Three to five year(s) related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electronics, computer, and mechanical related repair experience is required. Knowledge of how to use a digital multi-meter is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations

This position requires a valid insurable Driver’s License and a safe reliable vehicle which will be needed for transporting boxes filled with store merchandise.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Computer Skills

Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places; outdoor weather conditions; wet or humid conditions (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires occasional travel for up to 25% of the position.
