    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

    The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual consolidated US GAAP financial statements, preparing IFRS reporting packages provided to the company’s international investor, assisting with technical accounting projects and maintaining the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

    • Consolidate divisional reporting templates and compile quarterly and annual US GAAP financial statements
    • Assist with compilation of semi-annual IFRS reporting packages and reconciliations to US GAAP
    • Perform accounting research and analysis of new transactions, business initiatives and new accounting pronouncements and document the appropriate accounting treatment
    • Assist in the coordination of the annual audit and quarterly review activities performed by the external auditors
    • Maintain, document and improve the company’s internal controls over financial reporting including testing of key controls
    • Work with the divisions to respond to questions and implement process improvements in order to create efficiencies and reduce timeframes for deliverables in the financial close and reporting processes
    • Assist with ad hoc requests and special projects including acquisition due diligence activities and integration of newly-acquired business

    Required Skills

     

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)

    • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
    • Experience at a Big 4 or large accounting firm, preferably on publicly traded clients
    • US GAAP financial reporting experience preferred, IFRS experience is a plus
    • Experience using HFM and web-based financial reporting applications preferred
    • Solid background and understanding of accounting principles, including the preparation of financial statements and technical accounting experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications
    • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects in order to meet tight deadlines and produce high quality work is required
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well both independently and in a team, environment is required
    • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus
    • Ability to travel internationally, as needed
