  • Responsibilities

    PRODUCT OWNER

    Wyatt Technology is looking for a remarkably productive person to:

    • Develop requirements for current and new product lines (including product strategy, whole product concept, and hardware & software definition).
    • Organize internal teams, while collaborating with key customers and opinion leaders, to bring those new product concepts to market.
    • Monitor new product adoption, and adapt to competitive changes, to deliver on business goals.
    • Tactically support existing products including managing custom orders, feature requests, service trends, margin, etc.

    SOME KEY TASKS FOR THE PRODUCT OWNER ARE:

    • Develop short, medium and long-term visions for the products in order to drive the business. Perform market validation, assess scope and positioning.
    • Create Market Requirement Documents (MRD), and be software's Agile Product Owner.
    • Drive the Product Lifecycle (PLC) and deliver on the product roadmap and business cases.
    • Coordinate product launches through engaging beta testers, compiling technical data, conference presentations, and scientific publications.
    • In conjunction with Application Scientists, customers and others, evaluate and develop new applications for existing products.
    • Implement corrective actions on service issues, sales impediments or any other critical bottleneck that affects the success of Wyatt products.
    • Support marketing in the creation of sales and training materials.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 3 years of product management experience in scientific instrumentation or a related field, (Agile) software development experience is preferred.

    • Travel to customers and conferences at least once per quarter, with local customer visits at least once per month.

    • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related fields is minimum, an advanced technical degree is preferred

    • Outstanding personal interactions, integrity and self-motivation.
