    • Find the root cause of electronics issues with instruments in manufacturing and service and make design changes to prevent reoccurrence
    • Design and evaluate electronic circuits, draw schematics, simulate analog and digital and test circuits using bread board methods.
    • Design and evaluate printed circuit boards (PCB), create layouts and extract Gerber files for fabrication.
    • Design and evaluate embedded firmware using embedded C, VHDL and Verilog.
    • Use desktop programming or scripting languages to perform test and analysis.
    • Design, draw, and troubleshoot cables, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams for electrical modules.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 2+ years' experience with a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
    • Good practical experience using the Altium design software package or similar schematic and PCB design packages.
    • Must have hands-on experience in building and troubleshooting prototype boards to test design concepts.
    • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
