    Wylander Solutions, a recruiting company, is hiring a Project Manager for an Environmental/ Remediation Restoration company, located in San Francisco, CA. They are the go-to emergency and hazard response team, providing customer solutions for eradicating environmental hazards and restoring facilities damaged by natural or man-made disasters. The Project Manager facilitates timely and profitable delivery of Ideal’s emergency building recovery services for commercial clients, ensuring high company standards are met and exceeded for quality and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager prepares and coordinates estimates for projects, creates production schedules and manages projects through completion on time, on budget while maintaining a high level of quality. The Project Manager works on-call on a rotation basis, and overtime, to deploy their team to property damage emergencies.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary: $85,000-$100,000 (DOE)
    • Employee is eligible for company commission plan

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Guides project stakeholders through recommendations to quickly develop scope, timelines, and expectations
    • Assembles emergency estimates or rough order of magnitudes for complex, multi-hazard projects
    • Performs non-emergency inspections, scope development and completes estimates
    • Completes projects with hazardous materials such as lead and asbestos, in compliance with regulatory agencies such as EPA, BAAQMD, CDPH, Cal OSHA, etc.
    • Obtains contracts and sets payment terms for new projects
    • Coordinates as needed with approved subcontractors (equipment rental, repair contractors, etc.)
    • Delegates to Project Coordinator and ensures accuracy of project work schedules, project documentation and compliance documentation
    • Creates project schedules that include materials and staff requirements
    • Inspects work in progress at the project site to verify safety and ensure specifications are met
    • Provides timely project status updates, including concerns, to customers and stakeholders
    • Ensures that crew members have tools to meet project milestones and deadlines
    • Coordinate and collaborate with industrial hygienists as needed
    • Responsible to engage in collections as needed
    • Manages key client relationships and ensures prompt and effective resolution of customer concerns
    • Works with Production Manager and field staff to handle project issues as they arise; identifies and removes barriers to successful completion of projects
    • Collaborates with sales/marketing staff for job evaluation and follow-up

    • Adheres to rules, regulations, and procedures, and ensures they are followed by other team members

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years’ experience within a project management role, preferably in the restoration or asbestos industries. Must have experience managing large loss projects.
    • Certification are a plus, but not required: IICRC, WRT and Mold; Asbestos Supervisor Certification
    • Must have excellent project management planning and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and see the scope of the project from start to finish
    • Must understand the project steps to be taken, resources and time required, and create a realistic timeline for each job
    • Ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously
    • Must have strong supervisory and management skills and hold team members accountable
    • Able to work well alone and collaboratively as part of a team and with clients – must have excellent customer service skills including empathy for customer’s time and budget constraints to effectively manage and exceed customer expectations
    • Able to communicate effectively with others, including making technical information understandable
    • Able to listen effectively and have the ability to resolve conflict in a positive productive manner
    • Demonstrate excellent writing skills with impeccable spelling and grammar and be able to produce clear, precise, well-organized letters, emails and other documents
    • Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency using computers and software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.), project management and other technological and communication tools
    • Must be dependable and able to work scheduled or emergency night, weekend, and overtime shifts with minimal notice as needed
    • Must be able to pass a background check
    • Must possess a valid California Driver’s license with a minimum of three year’s driving experience - must have a satisfactory driving record with no DUIs and be insurable under normal insurance rates
