    Wylander Solutions, a recruiting company specializing in the restoration and construction industries, is hiring a Field Team Lead for Ideal Building Recovery Solutions.Ideal is a go-to emergency response company, providing innovative building recovery solutions for restoring facilities damaged by natural or manmade disasters. This includes water, fire and smoke damage restoration; lead and asbestos abatement; mold remediation; bio-hazard mitigation and decontamination services.

     

    The Team Lead supervises and works as part of a first responder crew to provide basic cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial properties after fire, smoke, water damage, and other contaminations. The Team Lead must have a solid understanding of restoration tools and techniques and industry best practices in order to perform daily tasks with minimal oversight. In addition to basic restoration functions in the field, the Team Lead is directly responsible for ensuring the project adheres to scope, schedule and budget. The team lead also provides guidance, technical development, and mentorship of the field staff.

    Compensation:

    • Base pay: $26.50-$34/hour
      • On-call bonus
      • Opportunities for overtime and double time

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as first responder to water losses in order to assess the situation and develop an appropriate restoration plan including area dimensions, identification of hazards, specific tasks, project duration, and preliminary estimates
    • Travel to various jobsites to transport materials and equipment using company vehicles
    • Supervise large crews of up to 12 technicians on environmental remediation and restoration projects
    • Supervise the daily activities of employees, including management of assigned team while ensuring that manpower and equipment utilization is done in a cost-effective manner in accordance with the scope of work
    • Clearly and effectively communicate to the project management team daily and future tasks, progress, project duration and cost estimates
    • Communicate clearly and concisely to clients, insurance companies, and the project management team
    • Setup and monitor equipment including drying chambers, remediation equipment, and other restoration equipment
    • Perform demolition including removing hazardous materials and properly dispose of debris
    • Accurately complete daily moisture maps and photo documentation for the project completion file that must be compiled at the end of each job
    • Work cooperatively and professionally with all team members
    • Ensure prompt and effective resolution of customer concerns
    • Follows all safety procedures and ensure others do the same

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be available to work one week per month On-Call requiring after-hours work to include nights, weekends and holidays and be available to work weekends and after-hour shifts as part of the normal schedule
    • 2+ years’ experience as a Lead Technician
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Strong preference for bilingual English/Spanish
    • WRT and AMRT certifications required; ASD certification is a plus
    • Experience with Moisture Mapper software
    • Knowledge of basic supervisory practices
    • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work independently
    • Solutions-oriented, with exceptional customer service skills
    • Must be dependable and able to work scheduled or emergency night, weekend, and overtime shifts with minimal notice as needed
    • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 150 pounds with assistance
    • Possess a valid California Driver's license with a minimum of three year's driving experience -must have a satisfactory driving record with no DUIs and be insurable under normal insurance rates
