Wyndham Destinations is currently seeking a VICE PRESIDENT OF TALENT ACQUISITION in Orlando, FL. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this individual is responsible for Talent Acquisition of all functions including Sales and Marketing, Resort Operations, Inbound- and Outbound- Contact Centers, and all Corporate departments across Wyndham Destinations, Wyndham Vacation Clubs, and Panorama. This individual will be responsible for establishing WYND’s Talent Acquisition strategy and implementing recruiting initiatives, policies, and practices that will attract diverse and high-performing talent to our organization. The ideal candidate will bring thought leadership and strategic solutions in driving multi-year process, technology, and change management initiatives. This is a highly visible role positioned to make an immediate impact in leading a world-class Talent Acquisition function at Wyndham Destinations and deliver 10,000 hires annually.
KEY AREA OF FOCUS:
TALENT ACQUISITION STRATEGY AND EXECUTION
Create, develop and drive the Talent Acquisition strategy for all areas of Wyndham Destinations, with a focus on proactive candidate sourcing that will result in attracting and retaining a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates for all open positions
Build and manage an effective, metrics-driven Diversity & Inclusion recruiting platform, including comprehensive candidate tracking, interview training, and performance metrics designed to support global Diversity & Inclusion Talent Acquisition initiatives
Create and maintain comprehensive staffing models and forecasts, Talent Acquisition resource plans and budgets, and contract on service level agreements with all key stakeholders
Adjust recruiting processes where needed to increase velocity and ensure a best-in-class hiring experience for candidates and hiring managers
Leverage and optimize existing technology to automate and streamline recruiting and hiring processes
Develop and manage a clear set of measures to analyze, forecast, track and communicate results and challenges to the senior leadership team
Leads the Talent Acquisition Technology strategy and vendor identification, selection, contract negotiation, and implementation
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AND CONSULTING
Collaborates with internal partners such as Human Resources, Compensation, HR Information Systems, Social Responsibility, Learning and Development, Talent Management, Communications, Brand and Finance
Daily interaction with senior leadership internal clients and partners
Works closely with Leadership Development organization to create, engage, and leverage internal leadership talent pipelines for talent mobility
Partner with HR business partners on the training of hiring managers in the areas of talent assessment, recruitment tools, and unconscious bias
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business, the market, our competition and emerging trends within the travel industry and Talent Acquisition vertical.
Serves as a strategic advisor to leaders on all matters related to Talent Acquisition strategy
Recruit for Executive Leadership roles and lead consultative recruiting projects
Provide external benchmarking through collaboration with enterprise-level Talent Acquisition Leaders to ensure innovation and constant improvement.
LEADERSHIP EFFECTIVENESS
Leads and develops a large, geographically dispersed team of Recruiting professionals
Identifies operational effectiveness and efficiency opportunities and provides impactful solutions for continuous improvement
Provides thought leadership and strategic direction to global Talent Acquisition functions in APAC, EMEA, and LATAM regions
Key member of HR Senior Leadership Team and drives overall global HR strategy
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
Analyzes hiring trends and makes appropriate enterprise-level process, policy, strategy recommendations
Ensures robust candidate assessment and selection processes and systems are in place to deliver high quality hires and ensure compliance
Executes the long-term strategic vision for WYND Talent Acquisition to include recruiting processes, workforce planning, employment brand/marketing, vendor management, and recruitment technology strategies
Oversee the enterprise relocation programs and processes
Develop, implement and analyze recruitment metrics to track effectiveness and drive improvement of programs, sources and technology as well as drive recruiter performance
Track and analyze budget expenditure; control costs, seek efficiencies and measure cost effectiveness of deliverables
Lead employer branding, career websites, and social media strategy efforts, partnering with Internal Communications and Brand teams
Oversee the contingent worker programs and processes
Oversee all Talent Acquisition vendor relationships including search partners, sourcing partners, and technology partners
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 10-15+ years of current experience managing an enterprise-level Recruiting function, including US, Canada, APAC, EMEA, and LATAM regions with hiring volumes of 10,000+ annual hires
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related field is preferred
Demonstrated success and expertise implementing a sophisticated full-cycle Talent Acquisition strategy in Field and Corporate environments, utilizing industry best practices and technology to drive efficiencies wherever possible. Ensure that the resulting strategy can effectively scale with the organization and continually optimize it.
Experience creating and executing a creative, metrics-driven, consultative service-oriented recruiting strategy
Strong understanding of Sales and Marketing functions
Prior successful experience building and managing a Diversity & Inclusion Recruitment Program
Prior successful experience building and managing an Employee Referral Program
Ability to develop business cases and service requirements
Ability to influence and foster trust with stakeholders at all levels,
Superior business acumen, executive presence, project management and presentation skills with no hesitation of networking, and public speaking
Consultative, solutions focus and high level of comfort working in an environment which demands strong deliverables
Demonstrated ability to interact and influence senior level candidates and internal clients
Demonstrated experience and understanding of employment laws related to hiring
Successful utilization and ability to recommend appropriate search partner/vendor solutions such as retained search, research and development, contingency search, name generation vendors
Experience working with an applicant tracking system, Workday preferred
