    Job Description

    The Encore Boston Harbor Retail Shipper/ Receiver will be responsible for ensuring tagging procedures are followed. Responsible for tagging merchandise, and maintaining a clean working environment. This includes, but is not limited to: maintaining processes, scheduling, and supporting department team members and maximizing opportunities for departmental success; maintaining all Encore Standards; and ensuring excellent guest and team member experience.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied. Responsible for detail receiving all merchandise onto the retail system and process relevant paperwork in a timely manner

    • Sort, ticket, and label merchandise according to department standards

    • Physical stock management, movement and maintaining the effective overall stock flow and storage spaces.

    • Quality Control, PO input, ticketing, packing and shipping to retail store

    • Physical stock management, movement, and maintaining the effective overall stock flow and storage process

    • Participate in physical inventories for all Encore owned retail outlets

    • Packing & shipping merchandise to guests/stores and providing shipping quotes for the stores

    • Completing all related paperwork and communication of overages and quality issues to the retail buyers’ staff.

    • The following applications will be used daily: WM, smart term, UPS world ship, FED-EX, and other related delivery programs.

    • Raising any concerns or issues and taking the appropriate action in a sensitive and timely manner. Responsible for detail receiving all inbound merchandise

    • Quality Control, PO input, ticketing, packing and shipping to retail store

    • Cleans and maintains the appearance of all merchandise and customer areas.

    • Responds to customer inquiries and their requests quickly and efficiently

    • Ensure all customer gifts are wrapped and presented in accordance with company guidelines and ensure the highest level of service is delivered.

    • Assists other departments with requirements they may have pertinent to hotel guests.

    • Works with safety as a priority, and follows department and company safety standards.

    • Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.

    • Performs any other job-related duties as assigned and assist in other outlets due to business needs.

    Age, Gaming and Certifications:

    Must be 18 years of age or older.

    Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

    Education and/or Experience:

    High school or equivalent degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

    Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.

    Some related experience in luxury resort or product setting preferred.

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

    Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
