The Intake & Multidisciplinary Team Assistant is a critical component of the programing at the Child Advocacy Center. This position will assist the MDT Coordinator in the coordination of case review teams, monitor service track for victims and their non-offending caregivers, act as liaison between multi-disciplinary partners, such as victim advocates, medical and mental health professionals, county prosecutors, child protection service representatives, and other community partners to advocate for and coordinate appropriate services, as well as other duties as directed by the MDT Coordinator and Leadership Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Entry and Case Tracking:
o Ensure accurate data input of CAC referrals into NCATrak (case management system) for statistic grant reporting and compliance
o Prepare supporting documents, such as referral summaries and coversheets for CAC staff and partner use.
o Receive and input partner updates, including mental health, medical, and all CAC appointments
Case Review Meeting Facilitation and Service Coordination:
o Schedule weekly intake case review meetings
o Participate in triaging case referrals using the CAC Intake Tier Response System
o Forward cases to the proper advocacy program
o Follow up with MDT partners when necessary, to gather additional case information needed by case review team; determine final tier
o Create, update and maintain Excel spreadsheet of weekly intake cases
o Ensure that cases identified at weekly Intake meetings have been referred to all proper MDT Case Review Teams
o Prepare monthly MDT meetings, and individual case review meeting agendas
o Provide technical assistance to virtual and hybrid case review meetings
o Co-facilitate MDT case review meetings with the MDT Coordinator
o Work with the Healthcare Services Coordinator to identify Youth with Problematic Sexual Behaviors (YPSB) and triage/refer and monitor service delivery by MDT
Team Co-Facilitation:
o Work closely with the MDT Coordinator to:
o Monitor rapid response and victim service track by collaborating with County Prosecutors, Child Protection Service Workers, Medical and Mental Health Practitioners, Care Management Organization and CASA Workers, and Victim Advocates.
o Act as a liaison between the MDT and community partners
o Respond to partner needs, and provide support and leadership, when applicable
o Work with MDT Coordinator in preparing and providing orientation materials for MDT members o Provide training information to MDT members o Provide community partners with information concerning the MDT process and victim services o Assist Wynona’s House staff with trainings, workshops and client engagement events o Provide statistics and data for grant compliance reports o Adhere to Wynona’s House policies, procedures and standards
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Assist with Wynona’s House events · Attend and participate in all staff meetings, retreats, conferences, trainings and fundraisers
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, or related field required.
Working knowledge of the dynamics of child abuse, and trauma informed practices
Experience working within a multi-/ inter-disciplinary team is preferred.
Experience with NCAtrak is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in Zoom.
Preference will go to candidates who also have the following experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities:
Bilingual candidates preferred – English & Spanish, English & Creole, or English & Portuguese
