    Job Summary The KTO Kart Technician is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, charging, repair, battery management and operational readiness of the KTO Circuit's fleet of high-performance electric karts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring fleet reliability, safety and maximum operational uptime through disciplined battery management practices, preventative maintenance programs and strict compliance with high-voltage safety procedures. The position performs battery swaps, monitors charging systems, diagnoses electrical and mechanical issues, conducts repairs, maintains fleet records and supports overall circuit operations. Transitions to indoor X Center duties during winters months. The KTO Kart Technician shall represent M1 Concourse with the highest level of professionalism and decorum.

    Job Responsibilities

    Assists in troubleshooting vehicle performance concerns and operational abnormalities.

    Assists with fleet preparation for special events, corporate programs, racing leagues and hospitality experiences.

    Conducts daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections of all fleet vehicles.

    Delivers replacement parts and support materials to private garage owners and circuit tenants as required.

    Ensures adherence to company policies, operational procedures, insurance requirements and safety standards.

    Ensures all vehicles meet safety, performance and operational standards prior to release for guest use.

    Executes safe and efficient battery swaps to maximize fleet availability and operational uptime.

    Identifies damaged battery cells, wiring harnesses, connectors, controllers and electrical components requiring repair or replacement.

    Maintains a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.

    Maintains a safety-first mindset while supporting exceptional guest and racing experiences.

    Maintains accurate maintenance, charging, and fleet utilization records.

    Maintains inventory of batteries, charging equipment, spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.

    Monitors multi-bank charging systems and charging station performance.

    Performs battery pack removal, installation and charging operations in accordance with established safety procedures.

    Performs diagnostic testing on electric drivetrains, battery systems, charging equipment and vehicle electronics.

    Performs mechanical repairs including tire replacement, brake service, steering adjustments, drivetrain repairs and component replacement.

    Performs preventative maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness.

    Reports equipment deficiencies, safety concerns and maintenance issues promptly.

    Tracks battery temperature, state-of-charge, charging cycles and battery health metrics.

    Transitions to indoor X Center duties during winters months.

    Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows all lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures.

    Performs all other duties as may be required and assigned.
