    JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing team of design enthusiasts and engineering professionals. Your role at X Engineering will include project design from preliminary studies through construction administration and project closeout, providing leadership and technical training to junior staff and playing an instrumental role in contributing to the health and growth of our business. You will provide technical designs and oversight, prepare engineering plans, work with project managers and junior staff and handle a substantial workload of diverse tasks.

    AS A PROJECT ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

    · Lead project design for multiple projects

    · Identify design criteria, plan, and execute effective designs

    · Plan, organize, and supervise project activities

    · Advise staff on land development operations and project-specific tasks

    · Ensure tasks are completed and schedules are met

    · Provide solutions to design challenges

    · Supervise preparation of and, when needed, prepare technical reports

    · Assist with technical tasks such as site investigation, due diligence, utility research, conceptual drawings, site grading/earthwork analysis, utility system design, WQMP/LID reports, feasibility analyses, site layout, and stormwater management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The following items are the minimum requirements for a prospective candidate to be successful in a Project Engineer position at X Engineering & Consulting:

    · Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

    · PE preferred; EIT required

    · 3-5 years of civil engineering experience

    · Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities

    · Excellent time management skills

    · Proven ability to foster relationships with staff

    · Proven ability to successfully work on multiple projects concurrently

    · Flexible to accommodate changing needs of the company, clients, employees, and/or projects

    · Proactive and intrinsically motivated

    · Consistent delivery of high-quality, technically sound material

    · Required: expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu

    · Preferred: experience in hydrology and drainage software including CivilDesign, Hydrocalc, SWMM, routing software, and others.
