We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and CT scans, in a fast-paced environment such as a Level I or Level II trauma center. The X-ray Technician will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care while ensuring safety and adherence to aseptic techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans, as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly; report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with medical staff in the emergency room and other departments to facilitate timely diagnostic evaluations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures.
- Document patient information accurately, including medical history and imaging results, using medical terminology appropriately.
- Assist in educating patients about the imaging process and address any concerns they may have.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing training as required.
Years of Experience: 2 year(s)
Certifications: ARRT R, BLS, CA license
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certification as an X-ray Technician; ARRT certification preferred.
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing CT scans is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, particularly in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30)
Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (20:00 - 06:30)
