Job Overview:
ACI Health is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented X-ray Technologist to join our team at a respected short-term acute care teaching hospital. This role involves performing a variety of radiographic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients across all age groups. The ideal candidate is experienced, certified, and committed to delivering high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized diagnostic X-ray examinations in inpatient, outpatient, and portable settings
- Ensure accurate positioning and image quality according to physician orders and radiology protocols
- Prepare and operate radiologic equipment, including mobile units and C-Arm systems
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to support timely and effective patient care
- Follow established infection control and safety procedures, including isolation precautions
- Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain patient records using hospital systems (Epic preferred)
- Provide age-appropriate care across a broad patient population, from infants to older adults
Requirements:
- ARRT certification
- Fluoro Permit (preferred)
- OBMI (Oregon Board of Medical Imaging) license
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Minimum of 1 year clinical X-ray experience
- Experience working with a diverse patient population (neonate to older adult)
- First-time travelers are welcome
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in radiologic anatomy and positioning
- Strong understanding of portable and surgical imaging
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Familiarity with Epic EMR (preferred but not required)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
