Welder/Fitter:

A local manufacturer in the Salt Lake Valley is currently seeking individuals to join the team as a Welder. The company offers the opportunity for growth and improvement. We are excited to add members to our team.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to pass a 3G Vertical Weld test and must have previous Overhead Crane experience.

• Compensation of $20.00-$22.00 an hour DOE

Responsibilities of the Welder/Fitter: 

• Read and interpret blueprint and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• Will be operating an Overhead Crane.
• MIG weld steel based on specifications
• Use hand-held grinders/sanders and power tools to finish welds.
• Keep work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
• Observe all safety requirements in all duties
• Will tack weld most of the time.

Requirements for the Welder/Fitter: 

• Prefer completion of a certification program in welding from college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous Overhead Experience is required.
• Previous MIG/TIG welding experience with steel strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints or drawings and use manual measuring devices.
• Ability to multi-task various projects with a level of detail
• Good verbal, written communication skills, as well as excellent shop math skills
• Positive attitude and good work ethic
• Will provide training for entry-level welders
