  • Responsibilities

    A well-established linen and uniform service company is in immediate need of an Millwright Equipment Mechanic Service Technician. The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical expertise and support of ongoing operations and improvements in their Ogden plant.

    The primary focus of this position will be electrical, hydraulic, motor and control systems troubleshooting and repair. The Service Technician will also assist the department with machine installation and operational issues. This is a hands-on position with extensive interaction with everyone on the production floor..

    Benefits for the Millwright Service Technician Equipment Mechanic include:

    • Starting Wage: $38.00 - $44.00 an hour DOE

    • Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 9:00am – 7:30pm

    • Full Benefits that include “Company Paid” employee health, dental & vision insurance, paid holidays, 401k and paid time off.

    • This is a "direct-hire" position and not a "temp" or "contract".

    Required Skills for the Millwright Service Technician Equipment Mechanic include:

    • Electrical / automation training with 2 years of applicable experience or 4-6 years of applicable service technician / equipment mechanic experience directly related to manufacturing equipment troubleshooting, maintenance and controls

    • Able to read electrical schematics or procedure manuals

    • Able to troubleshoot and repair 240- and 480-volt system – motor starter circuits, variable frequency drives, relays, and limit switches etc.

    • Experience with pumps, power supplies, proximity sensors, flow meters, scales, photo eyes & analog / discrete controls

    • Understands machinery operation, maintenance procedures & PLC based controls

    • Ability to routinely troubleshoot and repair equipment. Diagnose mechanical failures, electrical problems & PLC control issues

    • The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands for handling objects, computer equipment and peripherals, and bending, reaching, and crouching

    Desirable Skills for the Millwright Service Technician Equipment Mechanic Include:

    • Preferably have significant experience using Allen-Bradley PLCs, automation and instrumentation. PLC control panel wiring experience is a plus.

    • Experience working with manufacturing equipment such as washers, driers, fluid pumps, conveyors (pneumatic, screw, belt, vibrating), instrumentation (temperature, flow, weights), ovens, motors, fans, extruders, grinders, scales, metal detection and packaging equipment

    • Basic skills with PLC programming experience
