A leading asphalt supplier & marketer that supplies a diverse product line of asphalts - polymer modified asphalts and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry is looking for an energized, flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening as a Production Manager at the Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Starting Salary: $65,000 - $72,000 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

This is a "direct hire" opportunity and not a "temp" or "contract" position.
Responsibilities for the Production Manager Manufacturing Supervisor position include:
Report directly to the Plant Manager
This position is responsible for all aspects of liquid asphalt plant operation including staffing, EH&S compliance, housekeeping, materials inventory, production, equipment reliability, quality specification, projects to meet changing asset needs.
Work closely with the dispatchers
Directly supervise employees and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Maintaining an excellent team, training, mentoring and leading employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Oversee management of plant assets.
Development of plant processes / systems to ensure effective material production. Communication, electronic and paper recordkeeping, bottom line responsibility.
Requirements for the Production Manager Manufacturing Supervisor position include:
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field desired but not required.
3+ years process / manufacturing management experience is required.
Previous experience managing in plant or industrial facilities is required. Previous Asphalt experience is preferred.
Leadership experience building superior teams, setting expectations, holding people accountable.
Exceptional computer skills (office / excel / powerpoint)
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, possible strenuous activity, and possible elevated work spaces. Availability to work a flexible schedule.
Must be able to work outdoors in and around industrial equipment and work in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment.
