JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify opportunities for growth to meet XenonFS goals
- Close sales and work with client through closing process
- Cold call/email potential client to promote Xenon and/or identify decision makers
- Contact potential leads from business directories, web searches, and digital resources
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
- Understand client needs and offer solutions and support
- Monitor industry trends and how key factors impact business strategies for our company and our customers
- Present and deliver information to potential clients
- Answer client questions and follow-up call questions
- Manage pipeline of prospective client information
- Work with management to ensure alignment with company strategy in forecasting and business plans
- Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- When needed due to volume peaks or staff coverage, assist the Operations team in managing customer shipments and requests
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of recent experience within the transportation industry, preferably with an NVOCC/Freight Forwarder, FCL drayage trucker, or related sales experience
- Excellent customer service, communication (both verbal & written), problem solving and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to help
- Ability to perform in a high speed, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
- High degree of initiative and independent execution
- Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
- Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM
- Comfortable managing a high volume of communications daily
