  • Responsibilities

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and develop relationships with new and existing customers
    • Identify opportunities for growth to meet XenonFS goals
    • Close sales and work with client through closing process
    • Cold call/email potential client to promote Xenon and/or identify decision makers
    • Contact potential leads from business directories, web searches, and digital resources
    • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
    • Understand client needs and offer solutions and support
    • Monitor industry trends and how key factors impact business strategies for our company and our customers
    • Present and deliver information to potential clients
    • Answer client questions and follow-up call questions
    • Manage pipeline of prospective client information
    • Work with management to ensure alignment with company strategy in forecasting and business plans
    • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
    • When needed due to volume peaks or staff coverage, assist the Operations team in managing customer shipments and requests

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2+ years of recent experience within the transportation industry, preferably with an NVOCC/Freight Forwarder, FCL drayage trucker, or related sales experience
    • Excellent customer service, communication (both verbal & written), problem solving and negotiation skills
    • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
    • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to help
    • Ability to perform in a high speed, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
    • High degree of initiative and independent execution
    • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
    • Persuasive and goal-oriented
    • Energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
    • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
    • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
    • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
    • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM
    • Comfortable managing a high volume of communications daily
