The Opportunity. We are conducting a search for a less-than-full-time (approximately 20 - 25 hours per week) Administrative Assistant. Working under the direction of the Head of School (HOS), this position provides administrative support for the HOS and school office and is largely responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the school. This is a high-profile role that requires daily, high-quality engagement with all school families and staff and may expand to full-time as the school grows.
Significant areas of responsibility include: greeting visitors and callers; assisting with morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up; setting appointments; creating and maintaining staff and student files; scheduling staff; maintaining attractive public areas as well as organized storage of all school inventory; and assisting with internal compliance audits, daily lunch distribution, the preparation of parent communications, the administration of enrichment programming, and planning, organizing, and executing special events.
