The Opportunity. We are conducting a search for a full-time Classroom Assistant to support our toddler (ages 18 mos. - 3 years) communities. Under the direction of the Lead Guide, you will help children fulfill their developmental potential in an authentically prepared, inspiring Montessori environment. The days and hours for this particular position are Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6:30pm.

Montessori experience is not required, but we welcome educators with an appreciation for and openness to learning more about the method. We provide training and resources to our new staff members.

Minimum Requirements. Please apply if you meet the minimum requirements and are interested in joining our team.

• Have earned at least 12 college-level early childhood education credits (in order to effectively support all classroom communities, at least 3 of the 12 credits must be in infant/toddler care and development)
• Enjoy working with young children
• Are warm, joyful, and professional
• Have valid CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to become CPR and first aid-certified before you begin employment)
• Have negative TB test results within the last 12 months (or willingness to take a TB test which show negative results before your first day of employment)
• Are a US citizen or green card holder

We are especially interested in candidates who:

• Have experience working in high-quality preschools, particularly authentic Montessori preschools
• Speak other languages
• Have interests that you enjoy sharing with children such as music, art, science, gardening, and movement
