    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    The Marketing Intern will be a paid internship for a student in the field of project management and/or digital marketing with experience in social media, search engine and ad placement platforms.

    The Intern's primary responsibility is to assist Xtend in developing marketing opportunities for Xtend, along with fellow partner businesses in the digital realm. Xtend's goal is to deliver marketing through various channels including but not limited to email, webpage, social media, search engine/SEO, and ad placement platforms. The Intern will understand, manage, and enhance our current communication initiatives, as well as assisting in the marketing and sales plans needed for each.

    It is Xtend's expectation for this candidate to provide direct support to our business leaders and our partner business leaders, working up to 40 hours each week though the exact times are flexible depending on class schedule.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    1. Developing collateral materials, daily operational-networks and systems support as well as sales and administrative needs of all business units of Xtend
    2. Performing marketing and/or technological research as needed
    3. Creating and providing training programs to internal staff and/or recommendations to client network
    4. Develop brand strategies with a holistic approach to communications so that our company's brand touch-points work in harmony to create a favorable perception in the minds of our partners and prospects
    5. Leverage technology to optimize Xtend's marketing options (automations, emails, mobile services, social, etc.)
    6. Meet objectives for client retention and new sales and assist in the development and documentation of new initiatives.
    7. Understanding of and ability to learn and utilize core tools such as CU*BASE and Marketing Cloud
    8. Develop and publish collaterals materials in support of Xtend business units.
    9. Assist in the resolution of minor Internal Network and Systems support.
    10. All other duties as assigned by the CEO of Xtend.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Two-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
    2. Extensive knowledge of credit union operations, regulations and procedures, and/or willingness to learn. CU*BASE experience preferred.
    3. Marketing platform, social media management, digital ad/google ad experience preferred.
    4. Demonstrate the ability and professionalism to interact with key management staff and clients both on the phone and in person.
    5. Knowledge of and experience with fundamental project management processes and methodologies.
    6. Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and Credit Union lending and member service policies and procedures.
    7. Ability to consult, gather and evaluate needs, provide advice and recommendations, and partner with leaders to achieve organizational objectives.
    8. Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment by gathering and applying relevant data to research and resolve issues.
    9. Ability to prioritize and organize work, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
