Job Description

A well-established industry-leading modular builder is looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, and other related financial activities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the month-end, quarter, and year-end closing process, including financial close workbook preparation.
• Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Prepares and monitors the accounts receivable invoices and aging.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Reconciles bank accounts.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform an annual audit.
• Maintains fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Develops and maintains policies and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Quickbooks: One (1) year required.
• At least three years of related experience are required.
• Fishbowl experience preferred.
• Prior experience in construction or manufacturing business preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to fifteen (15) pounds at a time.
