  • Responsibilities

    Grant researcher and writer needed for Information Technology. Duration will be adjusted based on availability of grants, etc. Lives local and in-person interview required.

    Duties include, but may not be limited to:

    • Research potential grant opportunities and identify local, state, federal, private and non-profit grant funding opportunities in support of priority projects and programs.
    • Write grant proposals, prepare grant applications, plans, reports and supporting documentation.
    • Coordinate with staff on all supporting aspects including budget, narratives, timeline, schedule, maps, photos, etc. for funding opportunities.

    Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 2 years or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Qualifications
    • Know and comply with Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, DMH policies and documentation guidelines, and other state, federal regulations relating to quality assurance and improvement.
    • Demonstrate medical/clinical leadership skills, a complete working knowledge of psychopharmacology and experience in mental health service delivery to a broad-based individual and multi-cultural patient population.
    • Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Possess good computer skills; familiarity with MS Word and Outlook; demonstrated ability to utilize electronic progress note system.
    • Utilize analysis, experience, and judgement to make decisions.
    • Adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
    • Current California driver's license and a driving record.
    • Bilingual skills in Spanish/Chinese preferred.
