Retail Sales Associate

We are a dynamic and leading Retail company dedicated to the distribution of professional beauty supplies, providing manufacturers with channels to reach customers across professional, non-professional, and B2B segments. As we expand we are seeking a talented Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
Position Overview: As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional customer experience within our retail environment. Your primary responsibilities include assisting customers with product inquiries, providing expert guidance on product selection, and ensuring seamless transactions at the point of sale. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging your strong customer service skills to build positive relationships, address concerns, and contribute to the overall success of our retail operations. Your dynamic approach to sales and dedication to customer satisfaction will be essential in achieving sales targets and maintaining the high standards of service our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
Provide product information, answer inquiries, and offer recommendations to customers.
Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, or issues effectively.
Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
Promote and sell products or services to meet sales targets.
Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance the customer's shopping experience.
Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely and efficiently.
Provide correct change and issue receipts.
Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and stocked on shelves.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the management team.
Participate in merchandising efforts to create visually appealing displays.
Stay informed about product features, specifications, and promotions.
Continuously update knowledge of new arrivals and trends in the retail industry.
Assist customers in finding suitable products based on their needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store, including the sales floor and fitting rooms.
Ensure products are correctly labeled with prices and promotions.
Monitor and report any issues with equipment or facilities.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Encourage customer loyalty through the use of loyalty programs or memberships.
Follow up with customers on special orders or product availability.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Assist in training new staff members as needed.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Adhere to store policies and procedures.
Monitor and prevent theft or fraudulent activities.
Follow security protocols for opening and closing the store.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records.
Provide feedback to the management team on customer preferences and product performance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or similar roles
Strong understanding of retail sales processes
Knowledge of consumer behavior principles and inventory stocking
Basic math skills and ability to achieve sales quotas
Proficiency in upselling and effective communication for building relationships
Adaptability in fast-paced environments and comfort working on POS systems
Positive, cheerful demeanor with a customer-centric approach
Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
Excellent multitasking ability in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
Confidence in handling phone inquiries
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule:
Part-Time Positions: Monday-Saturday
Shifts Available:
8:00 AM-1:00 PM & 1:00 PM-7:00 PM
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly rate: $13.50/hr
