ABOUT THIS COMPANY:
This IT company has been providing services from cloud and network solutions, business and cyber security, technology direction and management, business communication, and more for over 15 years. They are now looking for their next Systems Administrator to provide on-site and remote support for high-level clients in Los Angeles.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform server installations and server administration setup, maintain network servers such as file servers, and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Administer system and application accounts and access
- Perform daily operational activities including systems and storage administration, monitoring, and system uptime and reliability
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Monitor and test application performance for potential hot spots, identify possible solutions, and work with IT team to implement fixes
- Ensure daily backup operations successfully complete
- Partner with the IT helpdesk team to provide outstanding customer service and support, provide 2nd and 3rd level systems support, and liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Maintain network servers such as file servers, intrusion detection systems
- Maintain hardware and network systems
- Modifying performance of servers and network hardware and software
- Implement network software and hardware upgrades
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Citrix XenApp based environments.
- Experience with VMware virtualization and containerization
- Experience with system performance and monitoring tools
- Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
- Experience working with SAP is a plus
- Experience working in a multi-site manufacturing or distribution environment a plus
