Do you enjoy working outdoors in a high energy environment all while helping children grow and step outside their comfort zone? Join our Summer Camp Team as a Program Specialist for Climbing Tower at Camp Twin Lakes!

Program Specialists provide experiential activities and facilitate a powerful learning opportunity for participants of all ages during Summer Day Camp.

Essential Functions:

• Safely facilitate Climbing Tower activities such as Zip Line, Rock Wall, Giant Swing and Leap of Faith.
• Inspect climbing equipment and hardware daily
• Document equipment usage reporting any issues to supervisor
• Exhibit teamwork and good communication with Camp Staff
• Provide active supervision of a group of children during a specialty class/program
• Ability to relate well to children, (ages 5-15) to communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, other staff, and Y leadership

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be available to attend Ropes Course Training on May 24-26.
• Willingness to work at heights of up to 50 feet.
• Previous Ropes Course/Rock Climbing/Target Sports experience preferred but not required.
• Ability and willingness to work outside in the Texas summer heat.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.

Pay Rate: $17.00-$18.00/hour
