POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide complete and quality customer service to members and guests at the YMCA in keeping with the mission, vision and character values of the association. The Membership Representative maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. The Membership Representative responds to member and guest needs and promotes memberships and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must become First Aid, CPR and AED certified within 90 days of employment or when scheduled for staff training.
Outgoing and pleasant personality both in-person and on the phone.
Willingness to provide Cause Driven Tours to potential members.
Ability to multi-function in a fast paced environment with a positive attitude.
Be able to work as part of a team and independently with instruction.
Neat and professional appearance in Y shirt and name badge.
Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
Basic knowledge of computers.
Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, walking and reaching.
Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time.
