SERVPRO Team Dobson is seeking a dependable, hardworking Floor Technician to join our team at Youngstown State University. If you take pride in creating clean, safe, and polished environments and enjoy hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

As a Floor Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of university facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Carpet cleaning and extraction

Preparing floors for cleaning, buffing, burnishing, and refinishing

Operating floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, floor machines, burnishers, and vacuums

Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hard and soft floor surfaces

Performing floor maintenance to ensure a clean, polished, and professional appearance

Cleaning various surface types throughout campus facilities

Properly mixing, using, and disposing of cleaning chemicals and solutions

Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair needs to management

Following all safety procedures and cleaning schedules

Delivering quality work in a timely and consistent manner

Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of physical activity and the ability to:

Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift

Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance

Climb ladders and work at elevated heights

Work in confined or tight spaces when necessary

Safely operate cleaning and floor care equipment

Work around cleaning chemicals and other cleaning-related materials

Qualifications

Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic

Effective verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license or government-issued ID

Social Security card required for employment verification

Must successfully pass a background check
