OUR OPENING FOR AN EMT WILL BE A SEASONAL POSITION FOR SUMMER CAMP, 2019.

• Takes charge of emergency situations and administers medications as needed.
• Keeps a daily log of all treatments.
• Responsible for maintaining children’s medical records.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and orders replacements as required.
• Deals with any behavioral issues or problems within the YWCA philosophy and reports any issues or concerns to the Camp Director; interacts with parents as appropriate.
• Ensures that work site is clean, organized and meets the needs of the children.
• Ensures that all children are placed safely with their parent/guardian at the end of each day, requesting identification from unknown individuals.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Experience working with school-aged children in a recreational setting is preferred.

LICENSING AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:   

EMT certification is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

Good communication/interpersonal skills and teamwork required.
