    Our Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a team member that is passionate about serving our community of patients and will enjoy working for a busy Community Health Center in Yakima! Some technical requirements for this position are:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, (CPA preferred) finance, business administration or related field.
    • Knowledge of governmental cost principles and audit standards, as well as GAAP.
    • Health care accounting experience required. Experience in a Community Health Center preferred.
    • Five years' experience in oversight in comprehensive, electronic accounting systems, including payroll, accounts payable, revenue, month end journal entries, and creation of financial and management reports required with at least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
    • Candidate has not been sanctioned or excluded from participation in federal or state healthcare programs by a federal or state law enforcement, regulatory, or licensing agency.

    **Day to Day:
    **

    • ****Assists CEO in development and implementation of business strategies
    • Supervises Controller and accounting staff to complete timely operations of daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities.
    • Assures monthly financial statements are prepared accurately for Board of Directors.
    • Assures grant reporting is completed accurately and timely.
    • Monitors cash and works closely with CEO on budget issues to assure organization financial stability.
    • Provides financial analysis as needed to provide impact of financial changes to organization (policy, reimbursement, etc.)
    • Participate in peer learnings as requested by CEO.
    • Oversee Revenue Cycle Management team and processes.
    • Compiles and analyzes financial information.
    • Review accuracy of documentation and provides oversight and leadership of payroll and accounts payable processes.
    • Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures, including billing systems.
    • Devises and implements systems for general accounting functions.
    • Work with auditors and other financial reviewers to assure financial compliance of federal, state, and local resources.
    • Works with and in support of staff to complete annual federal and state compliance reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or as needed.
