    Job Description

    As a member of our Yard Team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our yard, supporting various aspects of girder production, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, and capable of handling various tasks related to yard operations. This role will be based in our Mid-Atlantic branch located in Baltimore, MD, and will report to our local Yard Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • _ Material Handling:_ Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment components using forklifts and other equipment.
    • _ Yard Maintenance_ : Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free yard to support safety and operational efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance of the yard area, ensuring compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Perform general labor duties, as assigned, including: 1. Sweeping, cleaning, and disposing of waste materials. 2. Assisting in the setup and preparation of work areas. 3. Supporting various yard operations as needed.
    • I _ nventory Operation and Control_ : Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Perform regular inventory counts and inspections to ensure consistency and accuracy. Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor in a timely manner.
    • _ Order Fulfillment_ : Assist in fulfilling orders by accurately counting, selecting, and preparing materials for delivery or internal use.
    • _ Assist in Production_ : Support production activities by transporting materials, tools, and equipment as needed. Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals.
    • _ Equipment Operation_ : Operate machinery, such as skid steers, in a safe and responsible manner. Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • _ Adhere to Safety Protocols_ : Follow all established safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment. Consistently wear and maintain the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, such as gloves, safety vests, and protective footwear. Remain vigilant and promptly report any safety hazards, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Participate in safety meetings or trainings as required to stay informed on best practices and updates.
    • _ Collaboration_ : Work closely with other team members, including welders and fabricators, to facilitate seamless workflow and meet project deadlines.

    Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed both indoors in a warehouse setting and outdoors in the yard, in varying weather conditions.
    • The role may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and heavy equipment.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Experience:

    • No prior experience required. Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment is a plus, but not mandatory.

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Willingness to Learn:
      • Must be open to training and hands-on guidance. Able to follow instructions, ask questions for clarification, and demonstrate continuous improvement. Committed to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety practices and PPE use.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor tasks, primarily in an outdoor environment.
    • Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently throughout an 8-hour shift.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry materials throughout the workday.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to keeping the work area clean and organized.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed.
    • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

    Additional Information

    In accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws, Doka USA Ltd. is committed to providing a clear and equitable compensation structure. The hourly rate for this position is $28.85/hr, which is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.

    This range represents the base pay for the position and does not include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or other forms of compensation. Final compensation will be determined at the time of offer and in accordance with internal equity and market data
