Job Summary:
Under close supervision, this position is responsible for positioning truck tractors and trailers to ensure a safe and efficient operation by moving equipment to and from loading docks, maintenance bays, customer yards, and other designated areas. This role will be required to leave designated areas and operate machinery on public highway and must possess an up to date CDL. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Moves and positions equipment on company or customer facilities according to operations and maintenance needs.
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Observes all Company safety requirements.
Operates equipment on public highways according to all DOT, Federal, state and local regulations.
Performs daily yard checks including inventory and counts
Inspects truck equipment and gear for safe operation and compliance with DOT regulations.
Shifts may vary based upon location and business needs.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; OR up to 1 year of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education, certifications, military, or other experiences
Valid Class A CDL
Illustrate a clean motor vehicle record as per JB Hunt guidelines
Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
Smith System certification
Ability to pass DOT physical
Preferred Qualifications:

Self-motivation
Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job including: lifting above 50 lbs., bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $20.57-$30.85 per hour.

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
