Job Description

The Yard Tech is responsible for

• Loading, unloading, and moving materials and items by hand or using material handling equipment.
• Assisting with loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
• Sorting and stacking materials and equipment in designated areas.
• Performing general maintenance tasks such as cleaning and organizing the yard.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Checking equipment in and out of the yard and ensuring they are fit for work.
• Performing basic yard maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the yard.
• Performing routine inspections and minor repairs on rental equipment.
• Assisting customers with equipment rentals and explaining safety and operation procedures.
• Loading and unloading heavy equipment onto delivery trucks.
• Performing preventive maintenance on yard equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
• Experience in using hand tools and power equipment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with safety regulations
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Good communication skills to interact with colleagues

The base pay offered for this position is $18.81-$22.00 p/hr and will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
