    Position Overview: The Yellowbrick Administrator (DBA) will support the Navy Data Platform (NDP) Operations and Sustainment contract by managing and optimizing the Yellowbrick data warehouse, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. This role is critical, involving tuning, data integration, job migration, real-time analytics support, production maintenance, and cybersecurity compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Yellowbrick Optimization: Tune and optimize Yellowbrick data warehouse configurations to maximize query performance and system efficiency, achieving performance improvements comparable to 40% query time reduction.

    Data Integration: Design and implement data integration pipelines to ingest data from SAP modules (e.g., PP, QM, PM), sensors, and other sources into Yellowbrick, ensuring seamless ETL processes and 100% data accuracy.

    Real-Time Analytics Support: Maintain and enhance Yellowbrick data models to support real-time dashboards and predictive analytics using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), enabling operational insights.

    Job Migration: Migrate jobs from legacy systems (e.g., Oracle) to Yellowbrick, reprogramming workflows to ensure compatibility and performance, with validation against SLAs.

    Production Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting, to ensure Yellowbrick system availability and compliance with DoD standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP.

    Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement security patches and mitigation strategies to maintain Yellowbrick’s compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, supporting role-based access controls (e.g., DUO MFA integration).

    Collaboration: Work with Data Architects, BI Analysts, and Information Security Analysts to integrate Yellowbrick with NDP operations,.

    Knowledge Transfer: Document configurations, processes, and best practices in centralized repositories (e.g., Confluence), providing training to NDP staff.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience (4+ years in database administration may substitute for degree).

    Experience:

    5+ years of database administration experience, with 2+ years managing modern data warehouses (e.g., Yellowbrick, Snowflake, Redshift, or equivalent).

    2+ years integrating data warehouses with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms), achieving high data accuracy (e.g., 100% migration success).

    1+ year supporting real-time analytics with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP BI), developing dashboards for operational insights.

    1+ year migrating jobs from legacy databases (e.g., Oracle) to modern data warehouses, ensuring performance and compliance.

    1+ year implementing cybersecurity measures (e.g., patching, MFA integration) in compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, or equivalent standards.

    Demonstrated success in optimizing data warehouse performance, with measurable outcomes (e.g., 30%+ query time reduction).

    Experience in a DoD or federal environment preferred, with familiarity with DoD IL-compliant clouds (e.g., AWS GovCloud).

    Technical Skills:

    Proficiency in Yellowbrick or comparable data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).

    Expertise in SQL, ETL tools, and data integration pipelines for SAP or similar systems.

    Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP BW/4HANA) for analytics support.

    Knowledge of Oracle databases for job migration tasks.

    Experience with cybersecurity tools and protocols (e.g., DUO MFA, patch management).

    Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira) for knowledge transfer.

    Certifications:

    At least one of: AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Yellowbrick Certified Administrator, SAP Certified Technology Associate, or equivalent data warehouse certification.

    Preferred: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or other DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience supporting data warehouse operations in a DoD contract, with exposure to Navy systems or AWS GovCloud.

    Prior work on SAP integration projects, particularly with modules like PP, QM, or PM.

    Background in predictive analytics or machine learning model support.

    ISO 27001 or NIST 800-53 compliance experience in a data warehouse context.

    Demonstrated ability to achieve performance metrics (e.g., 40% query time reduction, 100% SLA compliance) in prior projects.
