Using computer vision, we pack the expertise of an on-site estimator into a smartphone. We're building a world where getting a quote for home services is as easy and interactive as shopping for products online.

After success with early customer pilots in the moving/relocation industry - our AI technology analyzed over 100,000 customer videos just in the past 6 months (and growing), we are looking to scale our SaaS across the moving and relocation industry.

Our infrastructure is infinitely scalable and cloud-based, but it's time to bring in someone with an organized and systematic mindset that can help us scale our QA processes. Like all roles at Yembo, it will be a combination of dreaming and doing, with the emphasis on the latter.

About you

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
• Proficient in one more web scripting languages: Javascript, PHP, Python
• Prior experience in testing web apps and microservices/AWS infrastructure is a huge plus
• Previous white box testing experience including design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of test automation using Nightwatch/Browserstack is a huge plus
• Familiar with DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization/orchestration, config management, etc.)
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills: analyze and investigate failures, runtime errors, and build issues, able to properly drive issues to completion
• Familiarity with REST APIs a huge plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Prior experience with or basic knowledge of machine learning is a great plus
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 a plus

About the role

• Develop and maintain test plans for our core microservices
• Implement automated test suites using Browserstack, Nightwatch, and Postman.
• Configure and run static analysis tools and track code defects
• Work with engineering lead to implement processes to improve quality
• Develop and maintain process monitoring and logging frameworks, and response process to runtime defect detection

• This role is full-time and based on-site in San Diego. Because we're such a small, tight-knit team right now, working all in one place helps us go faster and solve complex problems together.
