System QA Engineer

Yield Engineering Systems (YES) has built process control equipment for semiconductor, biomedical, and technical applications to meet the needs of innovative engineers for over 30 years. Currently Yield Engineering is conveniently located in Fremont, CA.

Y.E.S, currently has an excellent opportunity for a career minded System Test QA Engineer. Local candidates are preferred.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWINGS:

• Perform system final test before shipping to customer. Tasks require set-up, alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of vacuum systems, electro-mechanical assemblies to qualify system to customer specification.
• Follow established protocols, checklist, procedures and workflow with a focus on accuracy, quality, and safety
• May involve in installation and troubleshooting issues at domestic and international customer sites.

Our System QA Engineer must have the ability to interact with customers and coworkers at a professional level and be able to work independently. Follow company safety policies is a must. All System QA Engineer may perform emergency after-hours service, which includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and swing shift as needed. All serious candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• 5+ year System Test / Field Service experience within semiconductor field or other capital equipment arena
• Good understanding of electro/mechanical aspect of semiconductor equipment
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of typical semiconductor capital equipment areas such as electro/mechanical, robotic, plc control, RF, pneumatic, heater control, vacuum, electronics and electrical
• Hand-on with good ability to use common hand tools – wrench, allen key, screw drivers, digital meter, temp probe etc.
• Advanced customer service skills to create and maintain high level of customer satisfaction
• Excellent in communication and customer interface skill for both external and internal customer
• Ability to develop actions plans for problem resolution and present to both internal and external customers
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Able to work independently or in a team to close out assigned tasks with little supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to complete assignments effectively with attention to detail in a demanding environment.
• Demonstrated ability to write/redline technical test procedure, service and customer presentable reports
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Position may travel up to 50% to support Domestic and International customer bases. 2-3 days trip, or up to 8 weeks at a time. Circumstances may also requires longer stay if requires.
• Valid Driver's license with a clean DMV record.
• Valid Passport is required. (Can be obtained after hiring)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline or Technology is preferred. AA degree in electronics/electrical or other applicable field of study with substitute experience is welcome to apply
