    Job Summary

    We are seeking Yoga Fitness Instructors to join our New York City Studio (look for instructors to teach both Open Level Classes and Advance level). UpDog Studios is a primarily Vinyasa Flow studio (non heated) that creates a vigorous standing series to build heat with modifications and advancements for those who need it. As an Instructor will lead classes ensuring that people of all fitness levels are able to participate. We believe in balancing the physical fitness side of yoga that has become popular with the classic teachings of traditional Yoga. Set sequences will be given upon hiring, but we encourage our Instructors to add their our sequences once established. Your goal is to help our UpDog clients reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it! Our ideal candidate is a positive, engaging Instructor with a passion for fitness.

    Responsibilities

    Lead a class size of 10-28 clients

    Develop classes that are physically challenging, while keeping students engaged and safe (modifications encouraged)

    Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions

    Promote Studio programs, classes, and memberships

    Qualifications

    Minimum 200 hour YTT Requires

    Sanskrit Knowledge a Plus

    Early Mornings (6am - 10am) and Weekend Availability is preferred, but not limited too.

    Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred

    Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
