IT Systems Engineering Manager/Function Leader
Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
IT Systems Engineering Manager will manage (plan, organize, lead and control) a team of IT resources and outsourced vendor services (database/BI lead, MSP partner, application vendors, systems and network engineering partners), and, design, develop, implement and operate systems interfaces that integrate disparate platforms for franchise management, accounting, supply chain, and Point of Sale (POS). The Manager ensures that projects are planned and tracked toward meeting their milestones and adhering to approved budgets. He/She will also manage supplier contracts, maintenance agreements and upgrades, managing IT expenses and contributing to the annual budgeting process. The Manager will be the point of escalation for resolving end-user problems, and, will provide the documentation and training needed to empower the user to be more tech savvy and independent.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Formulate overall Enterprise IT Strategy
· Apply software development methodology, project planning, and testing best practices
· Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, run books, license agreements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and, documentation of modifications and upgrades;
· Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
· Work with vendor partner to plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users
· Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems
· Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations.
· Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability
· Adheres to all company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of technical experience
· 3+ years supervisory experience
· 5+ years of store systems experience (Micros POS, Clover/Bypass POS)
· 5+ years of supply chain systems and technology
· 3+ years of experience w/PCI DSS requirements and solutions.
· BS in Computer Science (or software engineering) preferred
· Must have strong QA experience.
