Flexion is recruiting a contract Project Manager with our client in the Minneapolis area. This position would be a remote but eventually would need to be onsite in Minneapolis.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Follows process and gains appropriate approvals for project spend (capital vs. expense) Develop clear milestones to measure against, time boxing work as appropriate Develops project plan and resources needs allocations and resource leveling Manage delivery with a sense of urgency while holding teams accountable for delivering work against project plan Hold team members accountable for work against estimates- both time and duration Identify resource needs and assign individual responsibilities
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Effectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards while streamlining process for speed of delivery Minimizes exposure and risk on project and ensures appropriately action. Manages, resolves and escalates, as appropriate, issues to ensure high quality deliverables Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Manages project budget to include tracking actual spend and delivering on accurate forecast to completion Analyzes project spend, contractor bill rates, and utilization to drive action regarding project delivery and effective utilization of cash
Joe Requirements:
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred 4-7 years relevant work experience preferred Preferred work experience in project management Preferred PMP certification Ability to handle multiple assignments/projects concurrently Ability to follow a project methodology, and ensure the proper process is followed, commensurate with the project scope Demonstrates strong public speaking and presentation skills Clearly demonstrates functional/technical expertise or people coaching/mentoring abilities Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams Ability to manage competing priorities Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project Physical Environment Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal. Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday. Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

Experience conducting insurance casualty/risk assessment surveys
Thorough understanding of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Property and Auto Liability Coverage
Understanding of construction classifications
Home PC or Laptop with Microsoft Word, high-speed internet access, and digital camera for taking property photos
Ability to observe business operations and evaluate management practices to determine if safety issues and hazards affecting insurance premium are adequately controlled
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize, manage, and travel within a geographic territory of assignments
