We deliver secure, high-quality language solutions in 80+ spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

    We are seeking Yoruba Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Yoruba, a major West African language spoken in Nigeria, Benin, Togo, and diaspora communities worldwide, is a priority language for asylum, refugee, and immigration-related cases.

    Responsibilities

    Provide real-time Yoruba ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and immigration proceedings.

    Ensure interpretations are accurate, impartial, and culturally appropriate.

    Maintain confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.

    Support both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.

    Participate in compliance training, quality audits, and professional development.

    Qualifications

    Native or near-native fluency in Yoruba and English.

    2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, NGO, or community preferred).

    Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and neutrality.

    Excellent telephone communication skills with ability to remain accurate under pressure.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
