WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN AUDIO PRODUCER - NORTH AMERICA TO HELP US CREATE AMAZING ORIGINAL SPOKEN WORD AUDIO CONTENT FOR KIDS.

    _NICE TO MEET YOU _

Yoto puts kids in control of an inspiring world of audio.

Our screen-free audio players let kids listen, learn and play at their own pace. All while making sure they're safe to explore what inspires them.

The award-winning Yoto Player launched in 2020, just before the big you-know-what. Now you can find it on play mats, kitchen counters and bedside tables all around the world. Yoto Mini, our portable player, launched in late 2021 and is already accompanying kids on some incredible adventures.

The Yoto Card Store has more than 800 titles from some of the world's best creators, publishers and labels. We also create Yoto Originals likethis one. Oh, andthis one too!

    YOTO CONTENT TEAM

At Yoto, the content we produce and licence is at the heart of everything we do. Our team of passionate children's media specialists have experience across publishing, music, education and audio production, and although we're small (currently 10 people in total) we're growing fast.

Our Yoto Originals range is where we get to flex some serious creative muscle. We work with world-class brands to create completely new audio products, as well as coming up with brand-new genre-busting formats that surprise and delight our passionate - and demanding! - audience. So far we've got kids moving, baking and laughing, and even won a few awards along the way.

This will be Yoto's first US-based audio producer role. Whilst you will report into our London-based Senior Audio Producer, you will work closely alongside our US-based Head of Content Acquisition and the rest of our US team, as well as the wider global team based out of London.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Working within the Content Team to create original spoken word audio for the Yoto Player - both in-house and with our licensed partners
    • Delivering brilliant audio on time and on budget, managing projects from concept, production through to delivery
    • Creating and managing production schedules and budgets
    • Assisting with casting, booking, contracting and coordinating record sessions, voice actors, freelance producers and studios
    • Working within the team to create creative audio publishing plans, including script review, editing and approval
    • Clipping and editing audio, creating audio previews for original content
    • Liaising with licensors on the production and approval of original audio - using licensors approval systems, and sharing feedback with the product team
    • Setting up audio on our internal dashboard, creating design briefs, assisting with copywriting and liaising with other internal departments where necessary
    • Brainstorming and contributing to original and unique new content ideas
    • Proof listening and approving original audio -- providing detailed feedback and notes where necessary and ensuring all original audio is released to the highest standard
    • Providing support and assisting the Executive and Senior Producers where necessary

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    • 2-3 years' experience in audio production
    • The ability to work collaboratively within a team, and also manage your own projects
    • A love for creating new and innovative children's audio
    • A keen interest and experience in children's media
    • Spanish language skills desirable but not essential

    • Knowledge of audio technology and sound engineering
    • Willingness to attend studio recordings, directing actors and readers and providing feedback. For this reason, you need to be in easy travelling distance of New York City, and this will be at your own expense
    • Strong production and organisational skills

    WHAT WE OFFER IN RETURN

    • Generous EMI share options - we're all invested in Yoto's success
    • Hybrid working with a choice based approach (we would love you to come into the office at least once a month, if not more as well as attending studio recordings as and when necessary)
    • A Work from Anywhere policy giving you the opportunity to work from a different location for a temporary period
    • 20 vacation days, 10 holidays
    • Health, dental and vision insurance - 85% of costs for you and your family paid for by Yoto

    ABOUT YOTO

    We're a Series A tech company with a well-funded and fast-growing international team.

Our offices are currently in London and New York. We have in-house expertise in hardware and software, technology development, product, marketing, commercial and retail.

We operate a ‘choice-based' approach to where we work. This means the day-to-day decisions on where you work are up to you. You could call it hybrid working but we don't see the need to be that formal. We see it as more fluid and we trust our team to make choices that reflect the needs of their role, team and the wider organization. We are therefore ideally looking for someone NYC-based (or who can easily commute to NYC) who can manage a balance of home working and some time in the office with the rest of the team.  That said, we are open to fully remote applications if the candidate is the right fit for the position and has had previous experience in a remote setting.

We're excited to build and develop a tight-knit and energetic team to help make Yoto the next great family brand!

Yoto spans the kids' audio, tech, entertainment and edtech industries, and our products have won awards in innovation, play and education categories. Time Magazine even named Yoto Player one of the Best Inventions of 2020.

Our Card Store includes 800+ titles from the world's best rights-holders including Disney, Penguin Random House, Mattel, Harper Collins and Sony Music. We also produce our own Yoto Originals, often with award-winning collaborators.

Flexible working and autonomy are key to life at Yoto. We support working parents because we know that life and work need to work together. And just as we share audio content from a diverse community of creators, we also strive to build an inclusive team. Our passionate D&I group raises new voices, beliefs, and perspectives to help everyone at Yoto feel heard.Check out our website for more info on our approach to D&I.
