    Job Description

    As a Data Analyst at YouGov you will join the Analytics Team giving the opportunity to dive into large data sets on our panels and provide insights for the wider business. As a member of the team, you will be an important part to delivery these services.

    Our 12-month graduate programme combines on-the-job high-level technical training with personal development. There is an opportunity to join us in a permanent role at the end

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • You are passionate about data and have some basic SQL knowledge
    • “Data instincts” is something you have and something you think most people who call themselves data analysts/scientists actually don’t have.
    • You really enjoy open-ended problems and mysteries. You don’t need a problem to be tightly defined.
    • Messy data with incomplete documentation and historical information you need to understand to get your analysis “right” excites you rather than scaring you.
    • You’re decent with data visualization. Even if you can’t do advanced things yourself, you can communicate to people what they need to do.

    • You do not think of yourself as a “methdologist” or a “statistician” -- although you do have at least a basic stats background
    • Ideally you are fluent in MS Office (or similar) and have also scratched the surface of Python and/or R
    • You have an analytical mindset and a desire to dive into complex data to reveal insights
    • You can work independently but confident enough to ask questions.
    • You enjoy collaborating with others.
    • Ability to manage own workload and deadlines
    • You want to gain new knowledge but are not afraid to share your ideas and own point of view. 
    • You are fluent in English (spoken and written)
    • You have good communication skills
    • You have recently graduated in Analytical related studies or still studying and are available for full time employment.
