    COMPANY PROFILE:

    Recreational vehicle resort, located in Pismo Beach, CA.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Under the direction of the Park Supervisor, the MAINTENANCE PERSON will be responsible for the RV resort’s general maintenance, conduct minor repairs to buildings and grounds, perform a combination of light to heavy duty cleaning of the facilities and other related tasks as required.

     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides, or steam-operated sterilizers;

    Empty wastebaskets and transport all trash and other waste to disposal areas;

    Clean office equipment and supplies;

    Perform lawn, garden care and maintenance;

    Ensure that buildings have adequate heating, lighting and ventilation, are properly cleaned and in good working condition;

    Perform minor repairs and conduct inspections of equipment;

    Perform general repairs such as painting, patching walls, hanging shelves and landscaping;

    Maintain cleanliness and neatness of all RV park grounds, property, stationary and mobile unit spaces.

    Operate related machinery and equipment;

    Perform janitorial duties, such as cleaning of clubhouse, hallways, restrooms, corridors and any working areas, to ensure strict health standards.

    Other related tasks, as required;

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Possess in-depth knowledge of custodial / janitorial supplies, equipment and materials;

    Ability to following instructions and retain instructional information;

    Ability to prepare and maintain routine records and reports;

    In-depth knowledge of maintenance supplies, equipment, materials and janitorial processes;

    Ability to perform minor repairs to buildings and equipment;

    Ability to understand verbal and written instructions;

    Ability to perform various clean-up projects and maintenance tasks, as required;

    Ability to perform strenuous physical labor and ability to lift at least 50 pounds;

    Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance and operation of related equipment;

    Attend weekly safety meetings;

    Possess proficient verbal, written and interpersonal skills;

    Ability to efficiently multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible in connection with everchanging tasks, be a team-player, dependable and on time to work.

    HOURS:

    8:00AM – 5:00PM, with 1 hour for lunch, Wednesday through Sunday

    COMPENSATION:

    $16.00 per hour for this full-time non-exempt position, plus benefits after 30 days of employment that includes company paid 85% of employee-only medical insurance premiums; 12 days of paid vacation in 1st through 5th years of employment and paid sick time, which begins accruing on start date.
