    JOB SUMMARY: 

    Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator ll will be responsible for developing marketing strategies within the Pharmaceutical sector.  The ideal candidate will develop product introduction through identification of potential products; conduct related market research thereof; generate product requirements; determine specifications, production timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: 

    Set and drive product line strategy in alignment with company’s strategic plan;

    Recommend advertising opportunities to Marketing Manager for approval within budget allotment via print, mail, digital methods;

    Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Creative Design Team to produce relevant promotional materials;

    Drives product launches, growth, market share and sales strategies by working with Sales/Marketing, Management, Manufacturing, Research & Development and Design & Development teams;

    Advise on scope and priority of projects based on business and customer impact;

    Develop and maintain existing relationships with purchasing contacts;

    Create buy-in for product vision internally and with key external partners;

    Coordinate and conduct Sales Team and customer training;

    Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from mass mailings, industry ads, trade shows, the internet and other sources;

    Assess market competition by comparison of company products to competitors’ products; makes recommendations for improvement accordingly;

    Provide short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, special reports and analyses for management;

    Maintain professional / technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies and attending related trade shows;

    Determine customers' needs by utilizing research, available market information and filling those gaps;

    Leads new product development projects; sets and holds timelines to ensure timely product launch.

    Other related duties as necessary. 

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    High School diploma or GED;

    Computer literate and proficiency / experience with marketing-related software applications and ability to learn software packages;

    Experience within the pharmaceutical, laboratory, or science-based sectors, a plus;

    Previous project management experience within a marketing/advertising role, required;

    Exceptional organizational, time management, multi-tasking and attention to detail skills;

    Astute oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;

    Ability to thrive and grow working alone and within a team environment;

    Access to a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. 

    COMPENSATION: 

    $30.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE, for this full-time, non-exempt position;

    Performance reviews every 6 months with salary increase potential based on merit;

    LOCATION:

    Santa Maria, CA – In Office Role 

    WORKING HOURS:

    8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday
