    Ancient Peaks (hereafter “Company”) is a family-owned winery, showcasing estate varietals from the Margarita Vineyard, which is the only commercial vineyard in the Santa Margarita Ranch AVA of Paso Robles, CA.  It is distinguished by 1 of the coolest, longest growing seasons in the region, together with very unique calcium-infused soil composition created by fossils, which is coveted by winemakers worldwide.  The property is owned by 3 long-time local wine growing and ranching families; the Filipponis, Rossis and Wittstroms.  The wines are crafted under the guidance of Mike Sinor, a local highly-rated winemaking veteran, who produces critically acclaimed, gold medal winning wines, which are embraced nationwide by leading retailers and on-premise accounts.  The Company has consistently generated double digit sales growth for more than 15 consecutive years and is considered a thought leader within the industry.  It was notably featured on the cover of Wine Enthusiast magazine in 2019 and highly recognized for its innovation within the industry and philanthropic endeavors within the community and industry, which is a testament to the quality of its wines, strength of its brand and performance of its team.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    As an integral member within the marketing team, the Digital Content Strategist will be instrumental in taking the Company’s digital marketing campaigns to the next level, through heightened engagement, performance and execution of digital content campaigns, as evidenced via a set of measurable metrics to gauge the campaigns’ performance.  The ideal candidate will possess the requisite skills and experience in tracking, measuring and improving the campaigns’ performance through key and external contractors, while matching the Company’s values, which are known as Winemaking, Viticulture, Sustainability, Ranching, Family, Community and Fun.

    DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Evaluate and administer website content with a particular focus on educational resources;

    Work with multiple departments to organize and timeline content concepts and strategies;

    Coordinate digital exhibition and other digital imagery material development;

    Track key metrics and performance of content and learner engagements across digital platforms;

    Administer Company’s web page to include:

    • Create new online interpretive imagery;
    • Manage website content;
    • Assume partial responsibility for website maintenance;
    • Facilitate regularly updated content features;
    • Assess areas for growth and new audience outreach across digital media platforms;
    • Coordinate assignments with any external contractors;
    • Assess and improve Search Engine Optimization practices;
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, or related industry;

    Demonstrable interest in wine/ travel/ hospitality;

    Ability to work effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment, with proficient organizational, time-management, attention to detail and astute multi-tasking skills;

    Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively reach a variety of audiences and learners;

    Ability to meet and exceed deadlines and goals on a continual basis;

    Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, or related discipline, preferred;

    Strong writing, editing, research and analytical skills;

    Knowledge of Mail Chimp, Instagram, Wine Pulse, Survey Monkey, Excel, Google Analytics, Vimeo, YouTube and the Microsoft (particularly Adobe) suite of products, preferred;

    Ability to creatively develop methods and processes for improving content accessibility and improving user experience;

    Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team, or on an individual basis;

    Interest / experience in photography and/or video production, a plus.

    WORKING HOURS:

    Monday – Friday on a flexible schedule

    COMPENSATION:

    $45,000 - $60,000, annual salary, DOE for this full-time, exempt position, plus benefits to include health insurance, 5 days paid vacation, 6 days paid sick time annually; Company-sponsored 401(k) after 1 year of employment and 1,000 hours; annual performance bonus; cell phone allowance.
